I had the honor of being selected among the ten finalists of the 2023 Rotary Prize with this illustration.
The Rotary Club of Venice announces the 12th edition of the "Rotary Art and Culture Award". Through the creation of illustrations and comics, participants should aim to raise public awareness by taking inspiration from the policy lines indicated by Rotary on the theme:
WATER: A VITAL NECESSITY
March 22, 2023 was the "World Water Day".
Water is essential for survival, but 770 million people worldwide do not have access to clean and safe water.
Rotary is strongly committed to raising public awareness and developing projects to alleviate the situation.
Projects developed in various parts of the way to provide water as an essential primary good for life, health and nutrition. Water is a vital necessity, a local and global resource, a transport route and, not least, a climate regulator.
Re-generation is the generation of the future. It regenerates itself with the awareness that water is the most precious commodity of the planet, sparingly using every single drop to water its inner garden, growing and looking to the future.
In the mind of the protagonist of this illustration new ideas on how to best use water and live in harmony with nature flourish.
